Public Notice – Sanitary Sewer Overflow

The Town of Ware Shoals experienced a sanitary sewer overflow on July 24, 2026, totaling more than 5,000 gallons.

The overflow did make contact with Turkey Creek, and the Saluda River. Samples are being collected over the next several days to monitor E. coli levels.

The Town will continue to monitor the situation and take appropriate action as needed. We appreciate the public’s understanding as we work to address this matter.
